That's Not Love (Fat Chance) - Dan Bickmore: lead vocal. - This tune was recorded as part of a 4 song demo in about 1973 in the basement of our band house on 8th Street just south of SE Powell Boulevard, just a few blocks SW of the Aladdin Theatre, back when it was a movie theatre playing "Deep Throat." Forgive the poor quality of the recording. We sound-proofed the basement and did our best, but recording on an old Tascam 8-track with less-than-optimal microphones was not ideal. The main soloist on this cut was Tom Tucker on Trumpet. He was added after the photo above of course. Tom later hooked up with Slickaphonic and then got me involved when Doug Lewis apparently had quit. He later reconsidered and came back as lead guitarist to my rhythm guitar. We are grateful to our old friend Bryan Barbee for his efforts in immortalizing our enthusiastic efforts.

(Hey, we practiced every week day from about 6 'til 10 pm without fail, with purpose. We were dedicated. It was our leap from being a small town band that practiced once in a while to a hard-working professional bunch. We were INSPIRED!)
